The Color Run - happiest 5k on earth

On 19 October 2013 an amazing event took place in my mother city, Cape Town. The Color Run. It is a unique paint race that celebrates healthiness, happiness, individuality, and giving back to the community. The Color Run is a five-kilometre, un-timed race in which thousands of participants are doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometre. The fun continues at the finish line with a gigantic Color Festival, using more colored powder to create happiness and lasting memories, not to mention millions of vivid color combinations. Me and a bunch of my friends took a shuttle from Stellenbosch at about half past 5 in the morning, on our way to Cape Town. Each Color Runner received a goodie bag with a t-shirt, headband, powder bag, tattoos etc. We made our way to the START line, clean and excited. At the end of the race everyone was full of different colors and it looked crazy.  Afterwards we treated ourselves by going to Clifton, one of the most beautiful beaches in South Africa, where we tanned and swam the whole day. We also payed a visit to Campsbay where we had lunch the island and healthy style at Kauii and and ate the most delicious gelato I've ever tasted! Fashion's Night Out

I was just looking around on Vogue.com (part of my daily routine), and I came across this event. Vogue launched an event in Manchester called Fashion's Night Out on the 10th of October 2013. The night started off with a party at Hugo Boss before taking off to the streets where all the action happened. From fashion talks and tips to live bands performing. Kate Phelan offered styling tips in Topshop, Ginnie Chadwyck-Healey gave a trend talk at Kurt Geiger and Bay Garnett shared packing tips at Louis Vuitton. This definitely sounds like a night all of us fashion-lovers should've been at. Here are a few photos, hope you enjoy! Love, Suné x

Ankle Strap Heels

I know you guys haven't been hearing a lot of me the last time - I apologize. The last few weeks have been hectic and with September holiday I haven't gotten time to post. Now, with the new semester starting and summer on its way I have all my focus and energy on the blog. Hope you enjoy it!

Ankle Strap Heels is something I'm starting to see everywhere, Instagram, We heart It, Lookbook and all the shops around me are starting to stock it. It goes with everyone and you can up-dress it or down-dress it. It can go with a plain pair of boyfriend jeans (or any other type), a skirt, a short or a dress, the list goes on.

I know of a few shops that sell it such as Zara and for us people who are trying to save a little, its available at Woolworths.

With this month almost over,  I thought it would be a good idea to post a few of the looks that I love before you get your next pay check. It’s plain and simple but looks beautiful.

 

Sail Away

I just love the anchor, sailing theme. It mostly consists of navy blue, white, and red. It gives a sophisticated look, but also fun for the summer. I’ll be stocking it up  – as it’s a trend that never grows old.
